Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU)Allama Iqbal Open University was established in May 1974, mainly to provide educational opportunities for those who cannot leave homes and jobs. In the past 34 years, the university has more than fulfill that promise.

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is considered unique due to its unique education system; it is the first Open University in Asia. AIOU becomes much unique because of its philosophy, system, approach, functions and overall structure. University with its main campus at Islamabad and huge network of regional centers spread throughout the country providing services to its customers throughout Pakistan and the Middle East. AIOU is the organization of distance learning, which includes several disciplinary education assignment, workshops, tutorial levels and proper exam.

The most beneficial step of AIOU is: Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nazir Ahmed Ahmed Sangi launched a computer training program using video-conferencing from the main campus of the University in Islamabad. He said that the university is also working on a proposal to create a world-class computer training center in the region. So it is much beneficial for the students.

AIOU has offered Semester Autumn 2012 admission for MS, M.Phil – M.Phil leading to Ph.D. and Ph.D. so all the students which have done their graduation can apply for required field.

    I would like to get admission in MPhil but I dont know how to clear process and also need scholorship because I belong to a poor family from Balochistan. I need to get admission in International Relations and have passed my Masters in International Relations from University of Balochistan.
