University of Central Punjab (UCP) is well working, efficient university, because it is a part of Punjab Group of Colleges. Punjab group has its roots with a commerce college set up in Lahore in 1985.

With the passage of time due to its efficient working it attains great reputation in the education field and attains well known position in the education network of Pakistan with approximately 1,44,000 students.

Now university of Central Punjab has offered admissions fall 2012, in faculty of Management, Commerce, Information Technology, Pharmacy, Arts and Science and faculty of Engineering.

Admission Requirements

BBA-(Hons) Bachelors in Business Administration

Eligibility

• F.A/F.Sc./I.Com (Min 2nd Division), A-Level* or Equivalent

MBA – Masters in Business Administration

Eligibility

• B.A/B.Sc/B.Com (Min 2nd Division) or Equivalent.

MBA via BBA (Hons.)

Eligibility

• BBA (Hons)

MBA via BS (Honors)

Eligibility

• BS (Honors) or Equivalent

MBA Banking & Finance (Evening)

Eligibility

• B.A/B.Sc/BBA/B.Com (Min 2nd Division)

MBA Executive (Evening)

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2-years work experience

 
MS Program in Management Studies

Eligibility

• 16 years of education with BBA, MBA, MPA or equivalent
• Minimum 1st Division or 2.50 CGPA on the Scale of 4.00
• Admission Test / NTS with minimum 50% marks
• Interview

Ph.D. Management Studies

Eligibility

• At least 18 years of education in any Management discipline, e.g. MS, M. Phil.
• Minimum CGPA 3.00 / 4.00
• Entrance examination as per HEC requirements.
• Research Proposal / Interview.

Admission Requirements (Information Technology)

BS Computer Science

Eligibility

• Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 2nd division.
• The students awaiting result may also apply for admission on provisional basis.

MS (Computer Science)

Eligibility:

• BS or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.0/4.0
• (60 % marks).
• Students awaiting result can also apply for admission on provisional basis. Students must qualify NTS GAT-General to be eligible for admission.

Ph.D. (Computer Science)

Eligibility:

• MS or equivalent with minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0

B.Com. (Honors) Program
(Accounting & Finance / Banking & Finance / Human Resource Management)

Eligibility

• I.Com.
• F.A/F.Sc.
• A-Levels
• Equivalent Qualification
• Admission Test (As required by HEC)

B.Com. (IT) or Equivalent can also get admission in 5th Semester of B.Com. (Honors) Program

BS (Honors) – Applied Accounting Program

• I.Com.

M.Com. 2-Years Program

M.Phil. (Leading to Ph.D.) Program

This program is an eighteen-year qualification and a can candidate qualifies for admission after sixteen years of study.

• BS – Honors in the relevant area
• Other Equivalent Qualifications
• GAT General and Admission Test (As required by HEC)
• Interview

Ph.D. in Commerce Program

Eligibility

• M. Phil./MS/Equivalent degree/18 years qualification
• Minimum 3.0 CGPA in Semester System/1st Division in Annual System
• 50% percentile score in GAT General and Admission Test

BS (EE)

Eligibility for Admission

For admission to B.Sc (E.E) Program a candidate is required to have passed:

• F.Sc (Pre-Engineering)/ A’ Level* (Math, Physics & Chemistry) with at least 60% marks
  OR
• Diploma in Associate Electrical/ Electronic Engineering with at least 60% marks
• A-Lever students have to submit equivalence certificate issued by Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

Admission is decided strictly on merit which is determined on the basis of marks obtained in the following examinations:

• HSSC – A-Levels/ Equivalent Exam Results
• Entry Test â?? This test has 30% weight age and is considered for eligibility only.
