Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) has, over the years has become impressive in the center of high learning are extremely learned faculty. FUUAST is the first university in Pakistan, which ultimately using Urdu as the main language of teaching and learning. The university was founded November 13, 2002 by Resolution No CXIX2002 promulgated by the President of Pakistan in Islamabad.

The University started functioning in November 2002, taking over two federal government colleges which are Federal Urdu Science College and Federal Urdu Arts College Karachi, these colleges were established in 1949 by Baba-e-Urdu Dr. Abdul Haq whose mission was only to promote Urdu as national language.

It is gratifying to note that FUUAST come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2002 from several subjects’ with full capacity, including basic, applied sciences, engineering, business management, economics and humanities.
