Steel Mill and Pakistan International Airlines are one of the biggest examples where the bad governance and poor management has forced the government to privatize it because it is being acting as a huge loss on the shoulders of the week government. Beside of these two mega organization there are even 20 more industries which are being ensures to be privatized by the new government of the state.

There are several problems which are to be dealt at very high priority which includes; Establishing stable political and security environment and pro-business fiscal and monetary policies, Setting clear objectives of industrial revival and growth strategy, Implementing research, development and good governance, Infrastructure deficit that includes road and rail net work, sea ports and power supply, Improving on productivity, quality and lack of innovation, High cost of capital required to boost investment and low FDI input and attracting huge domestic and foreign investment that is required to modernize textile sector and streamline SMEs.
Amongst all the Key Issue in Pakistan Industry the most crucial problem is the energy crisis which is being faced by Pakistan. Pakistan still considers itself as highly unfortunate as they are being kept away from one of the basic necessity of life and due to the alarming energy crisis not only the commercial and domestic life of the people is being affected but the industrial performance of the country is also being adversely affected and which has dented the economy of the state big time. The fake promises have been made but the ever increasing deficit between the demand and the supply of the energy is getting beyond the control of the federal government and due such conditions the short fall has reached almost top 6000 mega watt which is enormous. Relying only on the traditional sources have even made the conditions worse and depending on the limities resources have increased the short fall which has ultimately resulted in the cost of the energy.
Due to these Key Issues in Pakistan Industry and its ever increasing cost the industrial sector has been damaged in Pakistan and that is one major reason for which the industrialist are seriously thinking on shifting their industries form Pakistan to other countries like Bangladesh and Nepal where they have very cheap energy cost, and many of them have already made the switch which has been back breaking for Pakistan. The government of the state has to deal with these problems on high priority because that is alarming situation for the country.
