Faisalabad University upon Teachers Day

Teaching is a sacred profession. It takes merit and dedication to make a good teacher, said UAF VC Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while expressing his views about Teachers Day seminar organised by Young Entomologists Society here at Department of Agri Entomology on Tuesday morning.
Teachers Day is very important for all of us as teachers lay the foundation for creating enlightened citizens. They are like beacons, guiding the nation in the formative years of their lives. Teachers mould us and in the process and shape our future, he added. He gave his applauds to the organisers of the event and said teachers do need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their efforts are being recognised but holding such a colourful event mark a new chapter in the students community. He urged the students not to become the part of unlawful activities of so-called students as majority of them have no interest in getting education because they got admission on various quotas and don’t deserve to be here and now they were trying to disrupt and halt the educational and research activities at campus. The UAF was striving hard to match the accommodation requirements at campus. No university in the world offers residential facilities to male students but we are on the way to accommodate growing number of male students at our off-campus five hostels, the VC said. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes among the students who took part in arranging the ceremony. Chairman Department of Agri Entomology Prof Dr Anjum Sohail said he happened to be a student of UAF VC Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan and today he extends his Salam to his teacher.
