The basic need is that you should have internet access; you can pick the courses of your own choice via website of virtual university and can download the lectures or can watch online lectures from the university website. Many courses including Masters, Bachelors BS, diploma and specialization certificates are being offered by universities. After watch and listen the lectures you have to give the exams in order to get the degree. An online book shop is also launched for the students to get the CD’s and DVD’s of the lectures in order to prepare themselves for examination. LMS (learning management system) is also introduced by the university which includes the lecture slides, graphics and video clips of the lectures at the internet. Not only getting the lectures is important the answer of the different questions are also being delivered via e-mail address, if one has any difficulty to understand the lecture he/she can easily mail their problem question and can get the answer as well.
The exams are also conducted by the university faculty in the different centers of their branches in Pakistan. At the start of the virtual university lectures were delivered at the different T.V channels such as VTV1, VTV2, VTV3, and VTV4 later on the board of governors of university signed an agreement with the UJALA TV DUBAI for broad casting the lectures for the convenience of students who are unable to access the internet. A lot more agreement was signed with different electronic media to broadcast the lectures for students. Many students are getting benefits from this distance education system. The university also giving the scholarship and loan opportunities for the brilliant and needy students, these scholarships are donated by different trusts and banks such as Syeda Mubarik trust, NBP student loan scheme, and Pak Bait-ul-Maal loan, Punjab workers welfare board, and many more. Not only the loans and scholarship facility available for students the job opportunities are also available for the pupils, the vacancies for jobs are offered by different firm of Pakistan for the students of virtual university. It means that from the learning to job, all these are provided by the virtual university. Overall the virtual university is doing a great job for the working persons to get the degree just within their home. But all and all this is strongly curse of electronic media which provides the distance learning education for many people.

how many days are remaining in starting new semester of virtual uni.for master program
Salam to all,I am newly enrolled student to MCS programme and this is my first experiance in semester system,But I am facing sever problems while studying and very frustrated.
First of all videos does not play properly in ULMS(Have to wait for minutes on load and if I seek to different time than also wait for minutes) and for some subjects does not play at all(Discrete mathematics,theory of automata),I have 4mbs PTCL braodband so I could not say that this is issue with my internet,I also complained on MOB of respective subjects but did not receive any response.
I also ordered the handouts on VU bookshop but did not receive so far(It have been 10 days since I paid my order) and I have no way t enquire about my shipment(Did not receive response to my email and UAN number to VU remain busy )
I think VU need to improve support atleast.
