Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan has announced Indigenous scholarships for PHD program in current year 2018. After the success of Phase one this department has also announced more than five thousand scholarships for the PHD degree program students in 2018.The basic purpose of this scholarship program is to promote research culture by providing scholarships to the students of Public and private institutes. Through this scholarship program, all those students who are enrolled in PHD degree program in any Public or HEC recognized university are eligible to apply. Besides this, HEC also provides funds to the degree awarding educational institute to develop their facilities like IT equipment and other laboratories. These scholarships will be provided on merit basis and an aptitude test will be required to select students on merit basis. HEC Indigenous Scholarship For Phd 2018 Eligibility Criteria:
- Only those students can apply who hold the nationality of Pakistan or Azad Jammu and Kashmir
- In case of MS/ MPhil degree program, applicant must have complete his or her sixteen years of education till deadline
- Students who holds below than 3.00 CGPA are not eligible
- Only those students can avail this scholarship who are enrolled under PQR registered program
- If you are availing any other HEC scholarship than you are also not eligible
- There is also age limit for this scholarship program
- Only regular students can avail this scholarship

Applications can be submitted online through the official site of HEC, www.hec.gov.pk. Applicants have to submit the 500/RS in HBL bank, Account No. 1742.79001334.01. It is mandatory to submit this fee otherwise application will not accepted.
