Basic of IELTS

Some people want to know the basic purpose and test guidelines of IETLS and are seeking the British Council IELTS Fee in Pakistan 2024. So, submit the fee and book a seat for the test as well as take the guidelines and start the preparation for the IELTS Test.

Listening Skills

For the assessment of the listening skill, the person is given headphones and the passage is narrated to them. The passage won’t stop neither it will be repeated. And once the audio was finished the person had to answer a few questions regarding the passage. He must answer according to the memory of what he heard. Maximum answers must be correct to secure a good band.

Speaking Skills

For the assessment of Speaking Skills, the person is given a topic by the examiner on the spot and he has to speak on it fluently for several minutes. He must try to avoid grammatical mistakes, overlapping, and errors in pronunciation. The accent is being checked.

Writing Skills

The student is given a topic to write on. He must try to use easy but standard kind of English and must avoid grammatical mistakes. The content on which he must be writing must not be so religious, biased, or pessimist or should not have any vague ideas. The idea that he will try to write about must be clear and evident to the examiner. No mistake will help him to secure good bands.

Reading Skills:

The examiner will give some paragraphs or comprehension to the student and will say to read them aloud. Once he starts reading he will be recorded and accessed later on how he pronounced the words.  What sort of speech patterns he used and what kind of accent did the students have?

Credibility

Once the student appears in all four tests regarding the skills. He is then asked to wait for a few days. The tests taken are sent to the Counsel and are examined there. A total number of 9 bands exists. And the result is given in the form of bands. It happens in rare cases that some extraordinary student whose second language is English is given 8 bands but most of the students secure up to 7 bands out of 9. And even the 7 bands can help enough to apply for the Visa.
