It slowly and gradually consumes all the strengths and power of the country, left it with hollowness. In Pakistan corruption is more like a national game. It is present at every level of profession, whether it’s a most noble profession i.e. teaching and medical to any other profession in the world. In government education sector, teachers are corrupt. The get salary of teaching in schools or colleges but they do not play their role as a good teacher in college which enforces students to get tuition form the same teachers privately.
If we talk about medical profession, corruption is there. In 2010,a survey was conducted which reported that 42% of individuals responded that gaining access to hospital services was by a method other than standard procedure of admission. Country Politics is becoming the domestic game for the people. They are playing politics and corrupting every field of life.
Lets put light on the other sector of government. According to researches, corruption is very much evident in the lower levels of the police in Pakistan. We can imagine, if our protection provider people are corrupt how this county can could be safe. In fact, many citizens consider that the police is the most corrupt sector of the Pakistani government.
We can say that corruption is so much into the peoples blood that anyone who get a chance will found to be corrupt. Corruption in Pakistan is predominant, dominatingly in the administration and lower level staff. Pakistan is being ranked constantly poor at the Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index. It scores 2.5 in 2011. In 2010, it scored 2.3 and 2.5 in 2009 out of 10. In 2011, Pakistan ranked 134 on the index with 42 countries ranking worse. In 2012, Pakistan’s standing dropped even further from 134 to 139, lowering Pakistan the 34th most corrupted nation in the world, joined with Azerbaijan, Kenya, Nepal, and Nigeria
The threat of corruption in Pakistan is neither government nor party centric but it is the system and framework driven.
