Education Voucher Scheme EVS Pakistan Phase 13 of Pakistan Education Foundation PEF is announced. This EVS is a Voucher Scheme for all those students who lived in Backward areas of Pakistan and cannot afford educational expenses so PEF will provide a voucher of Rs. 450 against each students in the schools and in response schools are advised not to take a single rupee from that students. This is an excellent step of Government of Punjab to provide quality education to all. As this EVS Scheme were started in year 2007 and at that time just Lahore schools were covered and about 1000 students get approved vouchers and then the process continue with the increase in volume and last year in 2011 there were 18 districts of Punjab were covered by the EVS PEF Scheme under which 40,000 students get the approved voucher and quality education absolutely free. This is basically a Public Private partnership to promote education in the province and due to its benefit this Education Voucher Scheme got so much popularity all over and then a huge number of poor students is targeted to provide the basic need of living. The targeted student of EVS Scheme are students which are in age between 4 years to 17 years old but due to belonging from a poor families and their families cannot afford their educational expense they never came to school or leave school.

School Selection Process:

As students are selected for the Voucher scheme meanwhile schools are also selected by the PEF as EVS application form are submitted by many schools after the advertisement is issued in the newspaper after that a quality insurance test is conducted from all the schools that are shortlisted for the test and quality of education is then measured through students and learning outcomes. Then all those school who have passed this test will be recommended for the Partnership after physical inspection team report. Once a school is register that not means that it cannot be unregistered as the continuity of the registration depends upon the quality of education delivered in that institutions every year as when the standards of the education falls behind the criteria then the registration of that school is cancelled.
