Karachi:The Controller of Examinations, Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), Kalim Asghar Kirmani, on Monday declared the result of Secondary School Certificate, Part-I, (Class IX), annual examinations 2010, General Group (Private and Regular).
According to the gazette issued, 23, 666 regular candidates registered for the examinations while 22, 980 students appeared in the exams. Of these, 10, 560 candidates managed to clear all five papers whereas 5, 434 students passed four papers, Kirmani said. As many as 3, 265 pupils were declared pass in thee papers while 2, 034 candidates and 1, 207 students passed two and one paper respectively, he also said.
Meanwhile, 5, 386 private candidates registered themselves for the said exams and 4, 926 students appeared in the annual exams, he added.
Of these, 2, 309 candidates and 1, 136 students were declared pass in five and fours papers respectively, he further said. Kirmani added that 638 private candidates passed three papers, 427 students passed two papers and 257 pupils were declared pass in one paper only.
The gazette also shows that 6, 084 male candidates registered themselves in regular candidates group and 5, 872 students appeared in the exams.
Of these, 3, 024 students cleared all five papers while 1, 133 pupils passed four papers whereas 682 candidates had managed to pass three papers. The gazette further shows that 462 students were passed in two papers while 386 candidates just cleared one paper each.
At least 17, 582 female regular candidates registered and 17, 108 of them appeared in the exams, the gazette shows. According to the database provided by BSEK, 7, 536 female candidates cleared all five papers while 4, 301 pupils managed to pass four papers. The database also shows that 2, 583 candidates passed three papers whereas 1, 572 students and 821 candidates had passed two and one paper respectively.
According to the gazette, 3, 873 male candidates registered themselves in private group and 3, 507 students appeared in the exams. Of these, 1, 764 pupils cleared all five papers and 739 candidates had passed four papers, the gazette further shows. It further mentioned that 419 students and 283 candidates were declared pass in three and two papers respectively. Meanwhile, 184 students passed only one paper.
Furthermore, the gazette shows that 1, 513 female candidates were registered in private group and 1, 419 students appeared in the exams. As many as 545 female students cleared all five papers while 397 candidates and 219 pupils passed in four and three papers respectively, Kirmani said.
He added that 144 students and 73 candidates were declared pass in two and one paper respectively. Moreover, he added that116 unfair means cases were reporterd during and after exams.
