  • Choose a pen that suits you:

A famous English writer said that “the pen is mightier than the sword”. This comprehensively explains the importance of handwriting and a pen. As a fighter cannot go in the battle field without the sharp sword in the same way a writer with a rusted and curved nib pen cannot produce a good handwriting. It is not important that you have a gold fountain nib pen. You should choose a pen with soft tip and a good flow of ink out of it. This can enhance the handwriting.

  • A grip on the pen (or pencil):

You should grip the pen at a particular and reasonable distance. The grip should be light yet should be supportive.

  • The right posture:

You need to work on the right posture to imprint the good handwriting. You need to sit up straight but yet relaxed. The non-writing fingers should be gently curled under the hand, and the hand and wrist resting lightly on the table.

  • Make some shapes with the help of shoulder:

Start out writing large X’s, /’s, O’s, swirls, and loops with the help of moving shoulders by supporting the pen with the finger. You need to concentrate on moving from the shoulder, holding your wrist firm, and using your fingers just as a guide. Just focus on producing nice, smooth shapes. For this practices, use lined paper to help with consistent size and spacing.

  • Practice makes the man perfect:

Now when you are confident with your handwriting, then practice writing whenever you find a free time. As it is perfectly said, practice makes the man perfect.
