NH&MP driving school declared world’s best road safety project
LAHORE: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Driving School has been declared as the world’s best public-private road safety project and was awarded a gold trophy by the Nestle Council of Vevey, Switzerland. A special ceremony was held at a local hotel on Sunday to give away the award. Speaking at the ceremony NH&MP Inspector General Dr Wasim Kauser said the driving school is the combination of service and great traffic safety programmes and it has been providing the best education on defensive driving in Pakistan with an academically researched curriculum. He added that the driving school has been a leading institute and an icon for the communities we serve. He further said that it was the duty of every citizen to abide by the traffic rules and follow road safety measures to protect not only their own lives but also the lives of others. To achieve the goal of safe driving and a zero accident policy by keeping up with their own traditions, Kauser said the NH&MP have established the driving training track and school in Sheikhupura with the cooperation of Nestle Pakistan.
